Based on three patented technologies, Animetrics' core algorithms provide unmatched precision in performing 3D analysis of photographic and video imagery. Animetrics' solutions can take any 2D image of a face and generate a 3D model for accurate verification and identification. This 3D model can even be rendered as a lifelike "avatar" as a visualization tool for wide-ranging applications like law enforcement, fashion and online entertainment. Animetrics technology is currently being utilized in US military intelligence systems because of its effectiveness at tackling the critical face recognition problems in surveillance: arbitrary lighting and pose. FaceR is a facial identification platform that leverages the iPhone, Windows-mobile, Android and Blackberry's unique capabilities and innovative user interface. FaceR uses standard internet protocols to send facial imagery to the Animetrics Face Identity Management System (FIMS) server for face biometric processing. FaceR has two primary applications/functions: FaceR MobileID is as an interface to a biometrics identification system for use by security, including law enforcement, military and private security; and FaceR CredentialME provides authentication security solutions to protect the confidential & private data that resides on multiple mobile operating systems including, iPhone, Windows-Mobile, Android and Blackberry devices.
FaceR CredentialME is based on Animetrics Patented 2D-3D FACEngine® Facial Recognition Technology, 2-factor authentication solution designed to protect and secure the critical data and applications deployed on an Android-based Smartphones, PDA, Blackberry or Windows-mobile device. This simple solution allows a user to enable an additional layer of security for access to certain applications and data.
FaceR MobileID can be used for identifying "persons of interest" who are part of a watch list photo gallery database or identifying persons who are on an authorized list for confirmation of access. With the simplicity of the user interface, operators are able to quickly and easily capture high quality images of people for identification purposes. The interface enables users to isolate faces and provide virtual zooming, optimizing the identification capabilities of the FIMS server. The integrated networking allows the use of standard protocols and a streamlined process for performing facial identification. The combination of the camera-enabled devices and Animetrics FaceR offers new and powerful tools for a variety of mobile applications. FaceR is currently undergoing evaluation by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and DARPA for use by the military, receiving rave reviews for usability by military personnel.
